About Us
Hickson's family butchers have been serving the village of Bassingham and the surrounding areas since we opened the shop in 1998. Currently, three generations of Hickson's work within our family run business. We have been butchering since 1903.
We only supply the highest quality British meat with full traceability of it origin. We are part of the Ablex Quality Standard Mark Scheme for beef and lamb. We only stock British pork that is out door reared for its excellent taste and quality. All our chicken is British barn reared grain fed and are farm assured. These high standards provide you with a product that has excellent eating quality, traceability and total integrity. We stock nothing but the very best for our customers, from the best beef, lamb, pork, poultry, and much more. All of our products come from reputable suppliers operating to strict food safety regulations. Health and hygiene is always our number one priority. We have been Awarded 5 star rating from North Kestiven District Council for health and hygiene. We make our own award winning sausages, pork pies, haslets, scotch eggs, and also meat pies, sausage rolls, all of which are handmade in store by our team.
